Dozens of Palestinians have been filmed leaving Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis after Israeli forces ordered the evacuation of everyone in the complex. Witnesses say Israeli snipers had been firing on…

The dire situation was brought to light by WHO Chief Medical Officer Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who says Nassar hospital is no longer operational after a week of sustained attacks. The WHO team has attempted to evaluate the medical situation and provide fuel, but has not been permitted to enter the hospital.

There are about 200 patients left in the hospital, at least 20 of whom need to be quickly referred to other facilities. Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry reported that only four medical staff remained in the hospital, attempting to care for the remaining patients. A hospital source told BBC News that 11 patients have died after power and oxygen supplies were disrupted, and several doctors have been arrested.

Contradictory claims have been made. At first, the Israeli military claimed that their work was related to hospital operations.

The mission has to be maintained, by providing food and water. But while the IDF is investigating the case, the condition of the hospital is now unknown.

Israel claims that Hamas is exploiting the hospital and nearby schools as a mock base, leading to continued violence in the Nasr Hospital area. The IDF claimed to have killed several gunmen and killed Hamas soldiers in the area.

On the back of this crisis, efforts to reach a peace deal between Israel and Hamas in Cairo have faced challenges. Qatari mediators have expressed disappointment about recent progress. Even as the war continued, leaders recognized the need to maintain optimism in the challenging situation, Sheikh Mohammed said at the Munich Security Conference.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said negotiators were sent to Cairo at the request of US President Joe Biden because of the objectionable demands, but added that the discussions were unable to move forward because of Hamas’s “false” demands. The situation is linked to Hamas’s demands, which include conditions for the liberation of gunmen, Israel’s full withdrawal and ending the war after a 135-day pause, divided into three phases.

The successor, Hamas, has blamed Israel for the lack of progress in the peace deal. Despite this, Netanyahu has reaffirmed the Israeli government’s willingness to move forward to increase its role in Gaza, despite having no plans to evacuate the Palestinians who took refuge there in the first days of the war.

There are currently about 1.5 million people in Rafah, who according to the Israeli military have expanded into northern and later central Gaza.

Had to go there in search of safety during the attacks. Israeli President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, saying he opposed forcing Palestinians into any confined space for reinforcements.

The two leaders summarized that “expedited progress towards a unanimous agreement should be encouraged”. Joe has also expressed his desire for Israel’s rapid development. They have been asked to do this by ensuring that the safety and welfare of people caught in conflict and human rights violations be given first priority.
