Jimmy Butler shocks the Heat with yet another hair change.
The Miami Heat player continued his Media Day tradition by sporting a new hairdo.
Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat attended media day the previous year sporting dreadlocks. This year, Butler debuted a new appearance. Butler donned a “emo” ensemble for media day on Monday at the Kaseya Center, with straightened hair, pierced lips, nose, and eyebrow. Butler also had blackened fingernails.
Butler said, “I’m experiencing this. “Right now, I’m feeling quite emotional. I enjoy being in my emo mood right now. Here I am. I’ve been feeling like this lately.
Last season, Butler’s dreadlocks were short-lived because he started the season sans them. Throughout the whole season, broadcasts and other promotional materials continued to feature images of Butler sporting dreadlocks.
Butler left the door open to wearing this emo look at the start of this season when asked about it.
Butler remarked, “I mean, I never know how I’m going to wake up in the morning, man. So, this is how I’m feeling right now; tomorrow will tell. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll wear nothing but yellow. I’m meant to be wearing all black, so it’s a good thing we weren’t allowed to wear our black jerseys.
Butler’s Heat co-star Bam Adebayo couldn’t believe it when he saw a picture of Butler’s media day appearance.
There is no way that is him. Ya’ll are lying, Adebayo exclaimed with a chuckle. Why is this man acting so strangely? No, guy. That is not true. My gosh, dude. I knew that I ought to have had a blonde fro on. In training camp, I’m going to start having fun.
At Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, the Heat’s training camp gets underway on Tuesday. Butler may or may not arrive at camp sporting his “emo” appearance. Butler declared, “I’m one with my emotional condition. “So, this is what you get.”
