Mandy Moore ‘Numb, in Shock’ After Narrow Escape from LA Wildfires
Actor Mandy Moore and her family narrowly escaped the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, an ordeal she shared emotionally on social media. Unfortunately, the fires claimed her home in the Altadena neighborhood near Pasadena, as well as her children’s school and much of their community.
On Wednesday evening, Moore posted videos showing the intense fires and thick smoke engulfing the highway near Los Angeles, documenting their hurried escape. “I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets),” she wrote in her heartfelt caption.
Moore detailed the extent of the loss in her post, expressing deep sorrow for the widespread devastation. “Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control,” she shared.
In her Instagram Stories, Moore expressed her uncertainty about the fate of her home, saying, “So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it.
