Neymar’s girlfriend’s parents are taken hostage by armed robbers who storm into their house

The girlfriend of soccer player Neymar, Bruna Biancardi, is a Brazilian influencer. Early on Tuesday morning, armed thieves came into her home and took her parents hostage in what is being looked at as a suspected kidnapping attempt.

Situated in the metropolitan area of Sao Paulo, the house is part of a gated community in the city of Cotia.

According to Cotia police, Biancardi, 29, and the couple’s 1-month-old daughter were not at home when the incident occurred, and authorities suspect they were the intended targets.

According to news station R7, throughout the invasion, thieves had persistently inquired about the location of Biancardi and her infant daughter.

Biancardi’s mother’s face was allegedly threatened with boiling oil by one of the robbers while her parents were restrained and muzzled. Over $100,000 worth of jewels, watches, and opulent purses were taken by the accused.

The 50-year-old and 52-year-old parents of Biancardi were unharmed in the incident.

The Municipal Civil Guard of Brazil released security camera footage showing three suspects pulling up to the residence in a car. Authorities were informed by a neighbor who owned the automobile and had given it to his stepson. According to Sheriff’s Deputy Mônica Resende Gamboa, the 19-year-old confessed to the heist after being captured by police.

The unidentified youngster informed investigators that he and the other attackers had been following the influencer on social media and knew from her recent public posts that she had received jewelry, according to Gamboa. The suspect indicated that they then made the decision to rob the house.

In a statement, the São Paulo Department of Public Safety stated that efforts are in progress to identify and apprehend the third robber, as well as identify the second suspect. The question being looked into by Brazil’s civil police is whether the suspects had any plans to abduct both Biancardi and the baby.

“The important thing is that everyone is OK and that the people involved are being found. Material things have been recovered,” Biancardi posted on her Instagram Stories.

Neymar also bemoaned, in vague terms, the attack on his Instagram account.
