Pamela Anderson explains why she has decided to stop using makeup.
Since the beginning of the new millennium, Pamela Anderson has been at the forefront of fashion and beauty trends. The model and actor still does this today, albeit in a different way.
One of them is by adopting a makeup-free appearance, just like she did at Paris Fashion Week. The 56-year-old celebrity first showed up at The Row’s runway show on September 27 without any makeup on, and then repeated the same beauty procedure the following day at Isabel Marant.
On September 30, while wearing fancy clothing, continued her makeup-free spree at the Victoria Beckham runway show and was happier than ever.
“A new perspective on an adventure in Paris…” The following day, Anderson posted images from Paris Fashion Week on her Instagram account. “There is beauty in self-acceptance, imperfection, and love.”
Many people, including Jamie Lee Curtis, who claimed that a “natural beauty revolution” has started, were pleased to witness a new side of Anderson.
THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! @pamelaanderson “In the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures, and, and, and, this woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face,” Curtis wrote in the captions of pictures of Anderson. “I am so moved and floored by this act of bravery and defiance.”
Despite the fact that some people agreed with Curtis, others emphasized the social constraints and aesthetic standards that many women encounter, particularly as they get older.
Anderson has previously explained why she chose to wear a more understated appearance. Early in her career, she admitted to Elle in August, she “just went along with what people were telling me to do” in terms of her appearance.
However, Anderson made the decision to abandon her characteristic pin-up appearance after the death of her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, from breast cancer.
“She was outstanding. And ever since, I’ve felt that not wearing makeup is just better for me to do without Alexis, she told the magazine, adding that it’s also been “freeing, fun, and a little rebellious.” Because I did notice that everyone was sporting elaborate makeup, and it’s just like me to act contrary to what everyone else is doing.
Additionally, the former “Baywatch” star claimed that her best beauty tip right now is to “don’t do anything” in an interview with i-D, which she uploaded on her Instagram on October 2.
“Awaken; whatever is occurring just is. It’s all about accepting yourself. I’m trying to embrace this chapter of my life right now,” she stated before revealing her new motto. “Well, sometimes it’s difficult, and you just have to realize that you’re beautiful and good enough. Since trying to stay young is pointless, I prefer to use the phrase life-ing instead of aging.
