Prince Andrew named in newly released court files: Jeffrey Epstein

The recently unsealed court documents shed light on the connections of high-profile figures, including Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump, to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These nearly 900-page documents, which were made public as part of a lawsuit involving Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, don’t appear to contain any brand-new revelations about the artist. More than a hundred people are mentioned, some of whom are suspected of misbehavior, while others make accusations or could serve as witnesses, highlighting the tight-knit social network that surrounded Epstein.

Johanna Sjoberg’s deposition includes claims of Prince Andrew groping her breast in Epstein’s Manhattan apartment in 2001. Buckingham Palace refutes the aforementioned claims. The records also mention a 2022 settlement in which Virginia Giuffre, who had accused Prince Andrew of sexual molestation when she was seventeen, received millions of dollars from him.

She has consistently and vehemently maintained her innocence.” Hundreds of pages of unsealed documents from a lawsuit connected to accused sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein were publicly released on Wednesday. This is the first set of documents to be unsealed under a December 18 court order, with more expected in the coming weeks.

The documents mention that in the early 2000s, Bill Clinton traveled to Africa on Epstein’s private jet for humanitarian purposes. Clinton’s aides reiterate a 2019 declaration by emphasizing that the president is unaware of Epstein’s transgressions. Maxwell’s evidence, which is included in the papers, attests to Clinton’s flights aboard Epstein’s aircraft without suggesting any unlawful activity.

The documents recount a section where Maxwell’s lawyer refutes a media report about Clinton visiting Epstein’s private island. The attorney states Clinton wasn’t on Little St James Island between January 1, 2001, and January 1, 2003, asserting Secret Service logs would confirm this.

Johanna Sjoberg’s deposition also reveals Epstein suggesting contacting Donald Trump when their plane needed to land in Atlantic City. There is no alleged wrongdoing by Trump in the documents. Sjoberg clarifies she never gave Trump a massage.

In her deposition, Giuffre claims that Maxwell gave her the go-ahead to engage in sexual relations with Prince Andrew, Glenn Dubin, Bill Richardson, Marvin Minsky, Jean-Luc Brunel, and others. The claims are denied by Dubin’s representative. Three anonymous people are alluded to but not identified.

The records shed light on Epstein’s circle’s social dynamics. It mentions French modeling agency Jean-Luc Brunel, who was charged with rape. Giuffre asserts that she was coerced into having sex with individuals such as New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who refutes ever having met her. The domestic worker who oversees Epstein’s safety, Alfredo Rodriguez, refers to Maxwell as “the boss” in his testimony.

Epstein committed suicide in jail while awaiting trial after being charged in 2019 with running a sex trafficking operation. In 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of sex trafficking with several victims.

The disclosed records are a part of Giuffre’s resolved lawsuit against Maxwell and Epstein. For privacy, the identities of some victims have been withheld. Judge Loretta Preska of New York ordered the publication, which exposes individuals that were previously well-known from Maxwell’s trial and the media but deepens their connections.

Even though there aren’t any shocking findings in the initial batch, more records are anticipated. Maxwell’s lawyers argue that she is innocent, and Prince Andrew keeps refuting accusations. A complicated web of relationships is seen from a nuanced perspective in the records, which highlight the legal nuances of Epstein’s case.

In conclusion, the released records offer a thorough examination of the relationships and statements made by well-known individuals associated with Jeffrey Epstein, illuminating the intricacies of his social circle and the intricate legal issues surrounding the case.
