A New Chapter of Death’s Twisted Design Hits Theaters on May 16
The Final Destination franchise is back, delivering more terrifyingly intricate death sequences that fans have come to love. Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled the first teaser trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines on Monday, Feb. 3, teasing the return of the horror saga with a gruesome new kill.
The chilling footage introduces a tattoo artist casually inking a “Dad” tribute onto his arm—only for his fate to take a horrific turn. In true Final Destination fashion, his seemingly harmless act spirals into chaos as he gets caught by his nose ring, hoisted by a ceiling fan, and ultimately burned alive.
The Legacy of Final Destination Continues
Since its debut in 2000, Final Destination has terrified audiences with its elaborate and inventive death sequences, designed like sinister Rube Goldberg machines. The last installment, Final Destination 5, hit theaters in 2011, leaving fans eager for another installment. Now, Bloodlines promises to take the horror to the next level.
According to the film’s synopsis, this latest entry will explore “the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice.” A haunting, recurring nightmare drives college student Stefanie back home, where she seeks out the one person who might hold the key to breaking the cycle and saving her family from their inescapable doom.
